A holly gregory / Fireaudio Partnership
Second Listen
Second Listen acquires beloved manuscripts that have fallen out of print and gives them a second life as professionally produced audio content — bringing silenced stories back to an audience ready to listen again.
The Team
Founder Holly Gregory draws on her Emmy-winning career in children's media storytelling to lead Second Listen. She collaborates with sound-designer John Pappas of Fireaudio to create polished, broadcast-quality audio adaptations.

What We're Looking For
Out-of-print children's literature across every format — early readers, picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult. Series manuscripts are especially welcome. We also welcome author / illustrator submissions.
How It Works
Authors submit out-of-print work they fully own, along with proof of rights. Selected manuscripts undergo full audio adaptation, including creative treatment — professional narration and original sound design — before distribution through partners including Audible, RBmedia, and Pinna. Please note: Second Listen does not accept self-published work.
Rights & Compensation
Authors always retain their literary rights. Second Listen holds only the rights to the audio program. Authors are compensated through revenue-sharing agreement when the audio project is distributed.
How to Submit
Please include manuscript, proof of manuscript ownership / confirmation of available audio rights, and a brief author biography. If you onlly have a physical book to submit, just send us an email and we will reply with the mailing address.
Ready to be heard again?
If you have an out-of-print manuscript and available audio rights, we'd love to hear from you.
